Popular Anti Aging Supplements Manufacturing Trends
If you think that the current global economic recession is more than enough of a reason to sit back and wait to launch your line of anti aging supplements, you may want to think again.
Despite the slump in the global economy, anti aging supplements continue to enjoy prominent status as leaders in the skincare market of the United States. By 2013 it is estimated that anti aging supplements will account for 60 percent of the consumer demand for cosmeceuticals. By 2011, the number of people past the age of 50 will increase by 56 percent, and will hold a spending power that exceeds $900 billion per year.
But baby boomers are not the only generation purchasing anti aging supplements. Skincare crosses all demographics and is applicable to people of all ages that are looking to purchase products that offer benefits that range from protecting skin from sun damage to supplements that help delay the aging process.
Natural and Organic Anti Aging Supplements Growing In Popularity
The most popular trend in anti aging supplements is the launch of products containing natural and organic ingredients. According to a 2008 report from Benchmarking Company (McClean, VA), about 45 percent of women who use skincare products said they trusted natural anti aging supplements because they do not contain chemicals; 41 percent said that would pay premium prices for a product that is 100 percent organic.
New research and development continues to drive anti aging initiatives for supplement manufacturing. Cosmeceuticals are the latest rage in skincare products amalgamating the science of pharmaceuticals with cosmetics. Peptides (proteins) stimulate the production of collagen (skin protein) and help to keep skin firm and supple. Ingredients like keratin, a protein component found in hair, nails, hooves and horns, alleviate signs of aging by increasing the production of skin proteins, collagen and elastin. Since aging is primarily associated with a decline in the production of collagen and elastin, these natural therapies are a break-through in anti aging technology.
Antioxidants like green tea and resveratrol help to support your bodies ability to maintain cellular health. Grape seed oil, already a popular choice in the natural anti aging market, contains a blend of powerful antioxidants and omega 6.
